توضیحات

Software-defined networks (SDNs) are a network architecture approach that is intelligently and centrally controlled, or “programmed,” using software applications. This issue helps operators to manage the entire network consistently and comprehensively, regardless of network technology. In fact, it separates network intelligence from hardware.
The SDN layer is essentially a virtual software switch or router that operates instead of (or in connection with) physical network devices. Therefore, instead of the software installed in the routers and switches that are in charge of traffic management, the software takes over the work from outside devices (Fig 1).
SDN stands for Software Defined Networking. SDN is a networking method that uses open protocols such as OpenFlow to control software at the edge of the network. Used to control access to switches and routers at the edge of the network.
Organizations, telecommunications companies and service providers are surrounded by a number of rival forces. Many of these organizations have turned to SDN technology to revolutionize network operation.
SDN enables programming of network behavior in a centrally controlled manner through software applications using open APIs. By opening up traditional closed-network operating systems and implementing a shared SDN control layer, operators can manage the entire network and its devices continuously, regardless of the complexity of core network technology.
